Parked car protruding into a new cycleway

While the council has cleared most of the route south of Ringley, there are patches where the tractor couldn't reach. So I shovelled this one clear.

Salford Bridges over Irwell . Barriers a little too close together on both sides of bridge.

This bridge now seems to be missing.

Pointless barriers, no maintenance, no social safety. On a marked route between Porterfield Road and the Inchinnan Swing Bridge.

Shared pavement and cycle track gets very narrow by lay-by. There is dropped curb on both ends of the lay-by, so it is possible to cycle along the lay-by or in the road a short way.

Door that can be bolted shut, closing off access from the path to the Forth & Clyde Canal. It can also lie open and obstruct the path.

Bollards at entrance to towpath on NCN82. Hazard that requires warnings and conspicuous marking. Similarly, the wood posts and metal signpost require conspicuous marking.The 5mph speed limit signs are in poor condition.

Compare with #31074 - the 'offending' Cyclists Dismount sign has gone, but that may just because the location of the work has moved and it's easier to divert pedestrians down the other side.

KE53 HKW (illegally) unloading in Downing St. cycle lane

Extreme lengths seem to have been taken here to stop a wide variety of users of this footpath.

The day after 'Revolution' (new name for pub) were supposed to have been read the riot act, this lorry was stopped for some 20min, and the driver laughed.

Chesterton Rd. Taxis, buses and private cars all obstruct the cycle lane on the zebra crossing approach.

This road is an 'Urban Clearway' at peak times. It is also illegal to park HGVs on the pavement. The person responsible for works here was unconcerned.

This builder thought it was OK to park here. Reported to police as incident 279 of today's date

This is officially a cycle path and a very convenient way from Milton Road/Kendal Way to the river Cam (Frank's Lane / Anglers Way, over a green, crossing Fen Rd near the railway bridge). Unfortunately the path is obstructed on both ends.

Don't try this with a trailerbike. There are a total of five of these barriers, plus five 90 degree bends and a 180 degree bend on the "cycle" bridge over the A1 at Tempsford.

Wicken Fen entrance. This gate is needed because of the Wild Horses.

Many of the old stiles on Fen Rivers Way along the Cam have been replaced by these gates. (Note that this is officially a footpath only and it's illegal to ride a bike along it.)

It really is quite difficult to understand why these 'pram arms' are here. They are not preventing cattle moving, nor is it near a road junction. They are just a barrier, which more to the point would be very hard to see at night.

No easy access for cyclists after dark.

Classic chicane obstruction on this cycleway.

This photo was taken after cycling along the bridleway from Histon. It was a bit rough in places but a lot of it was grass and it was very flat. There were lots of very happy sheep grazing.
