The surface of this former sewage treatment site is sealed with tarmac. Somebody decided to paint lots of parking slots on here, but apparently never used. It is just poor practise.

The road to the right has now been paved (see #71336 ) and winter tyres are required on the Cund road (in winter, presumably) - but the distance is still wrong.

Cut-through in Dumbraveni

I don't imagine that any of this will be designated as a cycleway, but you never know in Romania.

There's a surprising amount of cycling in Dumbraveni, despite or even because of the fact that the whole place has been dug up.

Level crossing closed as part of the rebuilding of the railway - all the more reason for a decent cycleway to the station.

Dumbraveni station - thoroughly rebuilt, but without any off-road cycle access. It's about a kilometre from the town centre, ideal for jumping on a bike.

New pedestrian access to the river bank, Sighisoara. There's not much scope for creating a cycleway here.

Cycleway and pedestrian crossing. No tactile paving, no warning signs, nada.

Cut-through in Sighisoara - there's a low modal filter bollard at the far end.

Normal for Sighisoara - this cyclist is carrying his bike down these new steps from the citadel.

Stockport's new interchange Bridge is kinda there. Hopefully will provide a frictionless route for walkers and wheelers between train station, bus station and town! So far I'm a fan. https://t.co/drjzUn8Byu

Bikes for rent at this excellent café - e-bikes also available. Saschiz has become a real cycling hub, with a festival in the summer.

  • Icon 192183 Cars are parked on one side at all times. Bottleneck at peak hours as it becomes a one-way road. Please widen this road (from 2 to 3 lanes) or put a double yellow line. A temporary traffic light at peak times would also help. Cars can then get out of this junction safely. Right now, cars must skid and needle through the busy main road traffic from both ways to join it. Accidents are bound to happen.
