Two of four bikes on the train at Tweedbank.

The Borders Railway line reopening makes taking bikes to the Borders much easier.

What looks like a nice straight through alignment is spolit by dropped kerbs in the wrong place (see #91229) and the path beyond the road being narrowed and not asphalted (see #91163).

Haw @EastRenCouncil your bike lanes in the door zone are bad enough but this really is taking the piss! Move the sign please. https://t.co/6BHe6XluMf

E-MTBs are all over Zermatt now (and they move fast) - this one with a trailer.

Convertible space in this new Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train at Zermatt - no particular provision for bikes though.

The inevitable result of placing a barrier in the way of the path and not diverting the path directly to the forced crossing point - a worn path across the grass. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but is that fence panel not meant to be inst ... [more]

So if I can stand in the middle of the road taking photos of the barrier, is the road really so dangerous that it needs the barrier?

More mysterious symbols added to the NCN1 sign.

I guess they never thought that anyone would cycle to the industrial units, so never thought to install a dropped kerb where the path meets the road. Of course, the majority of users will be going the other way, so why the turn away from ... [more]

A newly installed barrier right over the end of the path at a minor road crossing at Tweedside Park.

The vegetation needs better management on what has become a blind corner on NCN1.

Full route signs at a minor access point on NCN1, but why does the sign pointing left refer to (1)?

The dropped kerb was placed at the roundabout off to the right rather than at the entrance to the cycle path, on a road that only services the station car park.

New riverside stretch of the Green Route (V61) down the valley from Chamonix

Sign at start of new riverside stretch of cycle track - being ignored by the cyclist sticking to the road.

Surprising amount of enginering for what is basically a footpath to nowhere - but it could have been linked to a cycke route to Taconnaz.

  • Icon 91253 Busy area for cyclists and surprised there is no cycle parking at all
  • Icon 91237 Sale Water Park cycle lockers 5x + cycle stands
  • Icon 91228 Berkhamstead
  • Icon 91217 Only lamp stands available to lock up to for the stretch of Long Acre between St Marin's Lane and Covent Garden tube, these are almost always full and not totally suitable. When I do find a space, I quite often find my bike knocked over after being locked up during the day.
  • Icon 91216 Lots of small Victorian houses and flats with no way of getting a bike in. There is nowhere in the surrounding area to securely keep a bike
  • Icon 91189 There is a quiet way cycle route running right through the Harold Estate but nowhere for residents to park bikes. This means that commuting by bike is limited and lots of parking problems on estate.

  • Icon 91180 Hello I couldn't get the map work on my device. I would like to report that coaches are parking in the lovely new cycle lane on Trumpington Road by the botanic gardens. I think they were dropping off and picking up their parties. Not only is it annoying but will wreck the path. Best wishes Sharon Kenny

  • Icon 91158 Lack of cycle parking around the far eastern end of Roman Road. Busy high street, especially on market days, but no Sheffield stands to be found.
