[Image taken 5.2.21] York, the car parks around Monks Cross Park & Ride offer space to scoot while schools and everywhere except essential shops are closed during the lockdown of early 2021. The surface is smooth tarmac and well drained. In the absence of people parking here to shop or attend events at the LNER Stadium or visit the leisure centre, the spaces are being used by people walking dogs, walking with friends, walking on their own listening to music etc... The grandparents of the two girls said they bring the children here most days to scoot. See also #162550
